Cracking Art Group

Cracking Art is a group of six artists founded in 1993 with the purpose of changing the history of contemporary art. The name itself comes from the idea of breaking with the past: “to crack” is indeed referred to the idea of snaping, splitting, and of course breaking. The credo of the artists is developed on the one hand according to a true environmentalist feeling, and on the other according to a constant attention to technological innovations. The choice of using recycled plastic is indeed explained by both inclinations. Removing plastic from a destruction eventually toxic and lethal for th environment, means producing artworks careful towards nature, and that particularly communicate through an innovative aesthetic language.
The big sculptures in coloured plastic realized by Cracking Art Group are the result of a collective and individual research, reached by each of the artist. Meerkats, snails, frogs, swallows and many other subjects, invade a great variety of locations, either private housings and public spaces, just as it happened in the city of Milan (in the park of Castello Sforzesco and in Navigli, for example). The founders of the Group are: Alex Angi, Kicco, Renzo Nucara, Carlo Rizzetti, William Sweetlove e Marco Veronese.
