Antonio Ligabue, Leopard, drypoint, 28,6x22,6 cm (sheet 70x50 cm)

This example belongs to the series of engravings depicting country scenes or animals (e.g. here a leopard) subjects much loved by Ligabue.

The engraving was made with black ink in 100 copies numbered; the sheet was orderd by the colletionist Alfonso Tagliavini to Ligabue.

On the front there is the artist's signature in the middle botton and is numbered 66/100 in the bottom left-hand corner. It is closed by a frame that has got the target with “Antonio Ligabue Gualtieri 1899-1965”.

On the back there is a certificate explaining its provenience and the stamp of the collections of Tagliavini.
