Lithograph on paper (1975) by Alexander Calder, American artist and sculptor among the first to experiment with movement applied to sculpture, inspired by kinetic art.

In 1931 Calder joined the Abstraction-Creation group, with Piet Mondrian and Vassilij Kandinskij, to promote abstract art, after the return to the figurative in the 1920s, and counter the influence of the strong group of surrealists led by André Breton.

In this work, the artist uses simple geometric shapes and bright colors to symbolically represent the tree of good and evil. The lithograph is hand signed lower right and numbered in a limited edition. The complete edition consists of 100 copies in Arabic numerals, X in Roman numerals + P.A.
