Polaroid by Maurizio Galimberti. The subject is Milan; a glimpse of the Basilica of San Babila taken up again in 1995.

This work belongs to the series, conceived by the master of Instant Polaroid: "My homage to Italy". This project has been collected in the solo exhibition "Paesaggio Italia"; exhibited at Palazzo Franchetti in Venice in 2013.

Galimberti illustrates our beautiful country calmly, like a traveler, who takes a souvenir photo of his travels.

As in all his works, the master of Polaroid works only in analogical, because, as he explains, is the only type of photography that can return the pathos of a unique and unrepeatable shot, there is a work of retouching the image, but not through digital, but with markers, wooden sticks, caps of pen.

With balance Galimberti alternates the emotion for the composition and the search for rhythm, to a propensity for detail, the intimate scene to be represented with a single shot, a single Polaroid.

The work has the artist's signature, the catalogue number on the back and is accompanied by an authentic from the Northeast Archive.
