Alessandro D'Aquila, Gaudì, Polaroid, 12x17 cm
Artwork by Alessandro D'Aquila, part of the series 'Polaroid sintetiche', started in 2014, still in progress.
The picture has been taken in 2017 by the artist himself using a Polaroid Supercolor 635CL, and later painted over with oil and acrylic colours, especially highlighting the red of the roses on the balconies.
The caption, written in the Braille alphabet by the artist, and the subject's blurred lines, give the impression of looking at a memory through the veil of time. The subject is a Casa Battlò, one of the landmarks of Barcellona, by Antoni Gaudì.
The artwork is framed and signed at the bottom right corner by the artist.
