Franchina Tresoldi, The Gallery, etching, 32x48 cm

The Gallery: litography by the contemporary artist Franchina Tresoldi, who offers to the viewer a downwards glimpse of the Milanese Gallery designed by Mengoni. The visitor entering it is immediately pushed to move the view towards the top, astonished by the majesty and the abundance of details characterizing the eclectic style that Mengoni chooses for his Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery, who represents one of the elements making Milan famous and reknown all around the world. Tresoldi decides instead of adopting an inverted perspective, in order to offer a downwards view of the details embellishing also the pavement. The work is numbered 4/20 and signed on the right bottom by the artist.
