The lithography is a Picasso study that represents the woman's screaming head for Guernica. The latter is one of the major Picasso's production, created by the Spanish author during air strikes that destroyed the namesake city that wounded the people of those lands. In this study we see all the woman's suffering expressed through a deforming scream, so the mouth opens and neck writhing in pain. This work is taken from the magazine Die Skizzen auf Papier , edited and published by the Museo del Prado - Cason del Buen Retiro, and commented by Marie-Laure Bernadac. Numbered 103 out of 200 in the lower right.
