Thinking to Milan: work by the contemporary artist Meloniski da Villacidro, who uses the typical and dreamlike traits of his style to represent an architectural complex as a tribute to Milan. Hold by a thin thread to a street lamp, a moon is fluctuating in a nocturnal sky speckled of stars. In this composition, Meloniski melds architectural elements belonging to different styles, offering an idea of complexive harmony: the facade of Sforzesco Castle, for example, is indeed combined to a skyscraper of modern aspect. It is exactly to Milan meant as fusion of elements that the artist decides to pay a tribute with his work. Always experimenter of various and different techniques, Meloniski combines also in this work traditional painting and three-dimensional inserts: thanks to the application of details (such as the coins in the bottom) he creates an alternation of surfaces plastic and dynamic. The work is signed in the middle by the artist.
