Andrew Tosh, Lescano Trio, acrylic, 50x70cm, 2017
"I simply painted everything that I consider beautiful and meaningful for my life and my art ".
The theme that emerges from this work is the importance of the "Ego", as the artist spontaneously puts on canvas what he likes and represents him. The inspiration of the subject comes from a personal experience: Tosh recalls a day spent with his girlfriend at her grandmother's house. Searching through the CDs, he found an album by "Trio Lescano" of which the artist loves the song called Tulipan. This fact explains how came to the artist the idea of representing three tulips that he defined with a black stroke. For the realization of the work, Tosh always uses strong and vivid colors like the electric blue which fills up the background, orange, yellow, white, green and pink. Instinctive, pop and sometimes irreverent, Tosh knows how to create a clear and discursive work, which tells a world that is easy to approach for the observer and to identify with.
