Andrew Tosh, Mickey Mouse, acrylic, 80x110cm, 2017
"I simply painted everything that I consider beautiful and meaningful for my life and my art".
Drawing once again from his inner world, from his experience and his passions, Tosh wanted to reproduce and reinterpret, according to his expressive language, the great icon of comics: Mickey Mouse. The artist himself says that this is the second representation of a piece of art, that has brought him so much luck and to which he is very fond of it. The colored writing, apparently "no sense", however at the same time is indicative in the composition and gives a suggestion for understanding the painting. Through the combination of strong and bright colors like turquoise on the background, and yellow used for the writing "Topolino", Tosh creates a work that conveys happiness and energy to the viewer.
