Andrew Tosh, Corncob, acrylic, 100x80cm, 2017

A. Tosh is inspired by an advertising campaignt of the '60s, which gave him the memory of when he was a child and he was used to eat corncob. The theme that appears from this work is the importance of the "EGO", since the artist spontaneously puts on canvas what he likes and represents him. The fragmented and colored writings, which are recurring in his works, seem with "no sense", but at the same time are indicative in the composition and give a suggestion for the comprension of the work. On a white background, he applied strong colors with which he made the writings. Still using bright colors like green, blue and orange and pink, he traced vertical and horizontal thick lines with the brush, while with black he outlined the contours of the main subject. The final product is a clear, spontaneous and understandable works of art, with which the audience can easily empathize with.
